Our vet doctor in Greenville provides customized care to your pet(s). Our well-educated staff will get to know your pet while protecting an understanding of your pet’s breed, age, everyday life, and behavior. Dr. Hauser

Veterinarian

Dr. Hauser was born in Maryland and raised in Raleigh, NC. Dr. Hauser spent most of her childhood in a veterinary clinic. Her mother was a hospital director of a veterinary hospital, and she started working there when she was 14 years old.

Dr. Hauser graduated with an undergraduate in Biological Sciences from North Carolina State University and completed her veterinary degree at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from veterinary school, she completed a one-year rotating small animal internship at the Regional Veterinary Referral Center in Springfield, VA. This is an intense year of additional training in emergency medicine and additional specialties such as surgery and internal medicine.

In 2015, Dr. Hauser relocated to South Carolina and worked in both Camden and Columbia before settling in Greenville, SC. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, their son, Leyton, their two shelties, Annie and Dory, and their cat Jude. Additionally, she can be found traveling, exploring the outdoors, crafting, or reading a good book.

Dr. Hauser loves learning and growing as a veterinarian and cherishes the relationships she develops with patients and clients. She looks forward to working with you and your fur babies!

Dr. Palmer

Veterinarian

Dr. Palmer was born and raised in Los Angeles, Ca. She had a profound love for animals from a young age and always knew she would end up in a career that would allow her to be around them every day.

Dr. Palmer received her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Long Beach State University and completed her veterinary degree at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. Throughout her time at University, she completed several externships in the in Carolina’s which led to her decision to eventually call South Carolina home. After graduating from veterinary school in 2018, Dr. Palmer began her veterinary career working in shelter medicine. During this time, she fell in love with being able to stand for those with no voice and will continue to give her time to help animals in need of care.

In her time off, Dr. Palmer spends time with her husband William and their two dogs Hank and Millie. She embraces any opportunity to travel and hopes to visit as many countries as she can. She is excited for this next chapter in her veterinary career and is greatly looking forward joining the Augusta Road Family.

Dr. Stephanie

Associate DVM

Dr. Stephanie Bedwell was raised in Belton, SC, and has always had a love for animals. She earned her undergraduate degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from Clemson University before completing her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia in 2017.

Following veterinary school, Dr. Bedwell completed a rotating internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists, where she developed a strong foundation in emergency and specialty medicine. She went on to practice as an emergency veterinarian for several years.

Now, Dr. Bedwell is excited to bring that experience to general practice, where she can build long-term relationships with pets and their families while providing compassionate, comprehensive care.

In her free time, Dr. Bedwell loves relaxing with a good movie, going to concerts, and spending time with her family—her husband, young son, and their pets: Finn the Aussie and cats Hector, Penny, and Sheldon.

Amanda

Practice Manager

Amanda has been in veterinary medicine for over 6 years focusing on preventative care and routine surgeries. She is a Greenville native! Amanda has recently graduated from Penn Foster with a veterinary technician degree and is working towards becoming licensed. She enjoys riding horses, hiking with her dogs Pebbles and Roscoe, and reading when it’s too cold to do anything else. She can’t wait to give your fur babies the best care!

Ruth

Lead Veterinary Assistant

Ruth has been in the veterinary field for 24 years and has a passion for animals. Since childhood, she always knew she wanted to work with animals and has made it her life’s work to assist clients in caring for their pets. Her work experience includes an exotic animal hospital, general practice, and specialty/emergency medicine but over the last several years, has found that she has a passion for anesthesia and surgery. She is in school to become a licensed veterinary technician. With the exception of spending 6 years in Pennsylvania to assist her grandparents, South Carolina has been her home. She and her husband have 4 fur babies, Hope, Storm, Lexi, and Nova, who are the best kitties. Dogs and a rabbit have completed her pet ownership over the years. In her spare time, you can find her hiking, kayaking, and biking as well as spending time with friends and family.

Keila

Veterinary Assistant

A Greenville native, Keila hails from the Taylors area. Knowing very early in life that she wanted to work with animals, during her time at Wade Hampton High School, she attended Bonds Career Center in the animal science program in a student-run grooming salon. Later, Keila attended Greenville Technical College, where she met her now husband. Following the Veterinary Technology program, she transferred to Tri-County Technical College in Pendleton, SC to complete her Accociate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology.

Keila enjoys reading on rainy days, exploring the Swamp Rabbit Trail with her husband, and all things Harry Potter!

Abby

Veterinary Assistant

Abby was born and raised in Waterbury Vermont. When Abby was younger when you asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up, her answer was always Veterinarian. She grew up training dogs and babysitting to make extra cash.

Abby has a certification in Solar Installation where she worked for 5 years installing solar before following her dream into the vet industry. She worked as a receptionist for a year and recently moved onto a tech position where she can do what she loves most, working with and caring for the wellbeing of animals.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her Husband, Steve, and their daughter, Hunter, and their 5 dogs, Maggie, Eddie, Veda, Jayper, and Emma, and their 5 chickens, Cluck Norris, Karen, Annie Yolkley, Hennifer Aniston, and Hen Solo. Additionally, you can find Abby curled up with a good book, at kickboxing class, or painting.

Ciara

Veterinary Assistant

Ciara is a new addition to the Augusta road family. She has been in vet med for 4 years and has adored every minute of it. She enjoys salsa dancing and cooking in her free time. She enjoys client education and making sure that her patients feel seen and loved.

Layne

Client Service Coordinator

An upstate South Carolina native, Layne has a strong background in customer service, and is always striving to make sure the-nothing-but-the-best experience is had by everyone including our four-legged friends. Layne shares one dog: Maverick, four cats: Mary, Jane, Zazu, and Miss Kitty, and 2 fishies with her boyfriend Ashlee. When she is not working, you can find her hanging out, watching movies, traveling to the mountains, or catching rays at the beach. Layne very much looks forward to meeting all of you (new and seasoned clients) and serving you all to the best of her ability.
